Leading Designing for LLMs, ArtCenter's Emerging Tech Studio for AI, and shaping how the next generation of designers thinks about systems, ethics, and interaction design in the age of large language models.
I am currently leading and teaching Designing for LLMs, ArtCenter's Emerging Tech Studio for AI, as faculty in the Interaction Design department. With the advent and increasing ubiquity of large language models, this course invites students to critically examine a designer's role in shaping this rapidly evolving space through curriculum that emphasizes systems thinking, data structures, ethical considerations, and cultural context.
The curriculum is structured around critical inquiry rather than tool fluency alone — pairing hands-on prototyping with LLMs against readings and discussion on systems thinking, data structures, bias, and the cultural context these models operate within. Studio critiques push students to defend not just what they built, but why it should exist.
Beyond the ArtCenter studio, I've served as visiting faculty at IIT Delhi and IIT Guwahati, working with students on design practice, AI strategy, and career development, and provided critique and feedback to students in the University of Washington's HCDE department.
